We are pleased to announce that our sister in the spotlight this spring is Anne Brunetto!
Anne is a graduating senior from Southern California who currently lives in the Pi Phi house here in Davis and has been a member of Pi Beta Phi all four years of college. We are so proud to have her as a sister for so many reasons!
Anyone who knows Anne recognizes that she is an exceptional friend. Her intentionality with others is genuine and she has a sincere heart for wanting to know more about you! Besides being someone who is wholeheartedly excited about life, she is incredibly driven in achieving her goals. She inspires other to chase after their dreams, no matter the size or how attainable they seem. Her encouragement has made so many girls feel at home in Pi Phi.
Anne will be finishing her time here at UC Davis with a triple major in Art History, French, and Italian. As a junior, she spent time abroad for a semester in Florence, Italy, so her Italian major came in handy! She was one of twelve women in our chapter to receive a 4.0 GPA during fall quarter of 2017, while also interning at the UC Davis Arboretum.
Anne’s spirit and commitment to Pi Phi is something every member looks up to. She is a leader in Pi Phi in a number of ways, but when Arrowjam rolls around every year, she can always be counted on. She coached our Arrowjam dances in 2016, 2017, and 2018 and made it inclusive and enjoyable for each member so that all could be involved!
Her contributions do not begin and end with our Pi Beta Phi chapter, but extend to all of Greek life on campus. This past fall, she served our Greek community as a Pi Rho Chi during fall formal recruitment. Pi Rho Chis are recruitment counselors that mentor potential members through the challenging week long process of picking what sorority to join. Choosing the right chapter can be very stressful and Anne was the perfect person to help each woman find the house that aligned with their core values and interests best!
After graduation this spring, Anne will be living in Venice, Italy, interning at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection. We could not be more excited for her as she landed one of the most sought after art museum internships in the world!
Some fun facts about Anne:
She’s a Harry Potter fanatic
She used to play chess competitively
Anne has been in every single Arrowjam dance all four years!
